The London Static Engineer will be responsible for the efficient and cost effective operation of all plant and equipment within the client’s building.

Key responsibilities
Planned and reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance task completion to meet the site Service Level Agreements
Completion of maintenance and reactive job sheets
Operation of the Building Management System to meet the requirements of the site. Adjusting settings as necessary
Monthly generator off load testing
Weekly sprinkler testing
Daily plant checks as necessary
Water hygiene weekly checks and tests as necessary
Emergency lighting tests
Lamp changing
General plumbing works as necessary including unblocking of toilets and drainage systems as far as possible and small fabric works
Completion of log book including but not limited to those for sprinkler testing, daily plant checks, water hygiene, emergency lighting, and generator testing.
Health & safety compliance including appropriate use of Personnel Protective Equipment in carrying out your duties. Always wearing the company supplied uniform
Liaison with the client representatives and customers as necessary
Operation of the permit system to ensure safe practices
Assisting your Supervisor with the supervision of sub-contractors carrying out maintenance, repairs and project works on site
Assisting in the upkeep and housekeeping of the plant rooms, workshop and office areas
Overtime working to meet the needs of the site
Taking part in the ‘call out’ rota and attending emergency call outs
Completion of job report sheets for overtime and chargeable works
Attending tool box talks carried out by your Site Supervisor on a monthly basis
Pro active reporting of defects to the helpdesk and your Supervisor
Assisting other members of the team as and when necessary in carrying out their duties
Personal and Team:
Create, own and manage personal development plan
Maintain personal engineering knowledge in line with current standards and changing legislation
Support the team training programme.
Conform to internal reporting procedures for timesheets, expenses and other processes as required
Attend all toolbox talks delivered for the team from time to time
Person Specification
Qualifications
City and Guilds Electrical – Essential
Experience – essential
Minimum of 5 years experience with operation of PPM systems and asset information
Experience – desirable
Minimum of 5 years experience of working in a blue chip environment with diverse and complex M&E services
Ability to demonstrate good knowledge of building services (possibly gained through following an apprenticeship route)
Proven track record of achievement
